Pass the Parcel is the perfect solution for Trade Me sellers, and anyone else who needs to get something sent without hassle.

- How do I get my parcel sent?
-
If you qualify for a courier pick-up, we will collect your parcel from your door.
Check your address. If you don't qualify for a pick-up, you can drop your parcel off at one of our depots or agents throughout New Zealand.
- Where is my parcel?
-
If you're unsure where your parcel is, first Track your parcel.
If this doesn't provide the information you need you can click on the Help me find my parcel page. This will direct your query to our Customer Services team who will assist you.
- Do I need to use Pass the Parcel packs?
-
No. You can use your own packaging (and print a label), or order custom designed packaging from us. We supply packs free of charge.
When using your own packaging, it is important you adhere to our packaging guidelines. If you would like to order packs, click here. Alternatively, please contact our Customer Services team to discuss your requirements.
- Do I need an account to use Pass the Parcel?
-
You only need an account with Pass the Parcel if you are going to be using your own packaging and printing your own labels. If using our packaging you do not need to have an account, provided you have a credit or debit card to pay for sending your items. If you choose to register with us, you will access some additional benefits, which you can read about on our Join Us page.
- How large can my parcel be?
-
You can print a label for your own packaging.
Our maximum dimensions are 25kgs, 1.8m in length and 0.06m3 (about the size of a standard microwave). Try using our calculator or if your parcel is too big, you can try our friends at Stuck.
- Are there things I should not send via Pass the Parcel?
-
Yes. Some products are not suitable for sending via our courier service. Check the Prohibited items and Packaging tips pages for more information.
- How does the Trade Me Integration work?
-
Link your Pass the Parcel & Trade Me Account
By linking your Trade Me account to Pass the Parcel, sold auction information will display within the Pass the Parcel site. This means you can send parcels without needing to enter delivery information.
Can I trust this integration?
The Pass the Parcel Trade Me integration is registered with Trade Me and completely complies with Trade Me's policies, terms and conditions of use. We communicate with Trade Me using Trade Me's API. See Trade Me’s API Conditions for more information and the Pass the Parcel Privacy Policy.
Linking your Pass The Parcel and Trade Me accounts does not give Pass The Parcel the ability to login to your Trade Me account. Pass The Parcel will never ask for your Trade Me password. We request the minimum amount of information from Trade Me necessary to provide this service. Pass The Parcel will never change any of your personal details or bid on auctions. We will never supply this data to anybody else.
How to unlink your account
You can remove permission for Pass the Parcel to access your Trade Me account at any stage by deleting the application from My Trade Me. This immediately removes access for Pass The Parcel to be able to access your account. You can re-integrate at any time by linking your Trade Me account again.
How it works
After you have linked your Pass The Parcel account to your Trade Me account, you can access a list of items you have sold by clicking on Trade Me Items on the Pass The Parcel menu bar. You need to be logged in for this to display.
This screen shows a listing of items recently sold. From this screen, you can identify that a buyer will pick-up the item, delete items from the display and send your parcels.
To send a parcel, tick the box and click on the "Send your Parcel" link for the item you are ready to send.
If the buyer has entered a correct delivery address, this will automatically populate in the delivery address details for sending the item. If the system is unable to validate the address, please follow the prompts to clarify the delivery address.
Why are some of my sold items not showing?
We exclude some Trade Me categories as they are not suitable for sending with Pass The Parcel. Check our prohibited items list for further information. If you need to send an item that Pass The Parcel can't carry try our friends at Stuck.
Sync with Trade Me - If it goes wrong can I claim?
-
Yes you can but note that, we have developed our Pass the Parcel service primarily as a cost effective service for Trade Me customers to transport lower value "ordinary" items, that they have bought and sold using Trade Me, within the North and South Islands of New Zealand. To reflect its tailored nature, the Pass the Parcel service is undertaken on the basis that our liability to you for loss of or damage to the goods is limited to the lesser of NZ$500 or the purchase price paid on Trade Me.
